HIV/AIDS WARNING IN THE

MENA REGION

Community-led monitoring to understand

Non-profits NGOs on the front line

The situation in the Middle East – North Africa (MENA) region is extremely worrying. The spread of HIV has skyrocketed and almost 1 in 3 people affected by it still do not have access to treatments. Given this state of affairs, Solidarité Sida and ITPC-MENA have launched the FORSS program in partnership with five local non-profit associations.  The purpose of the program is to document the barriers to accessing prevention, testing and care to guide public policies for dealing with the epidemic and strengthen health systems.
